Mandatory documents for applying for a Schengen visa
The most important condition for a successful visa application is collecting and supplying the right documents. If you provide the supporting documents completely and correctly, the chance that a visa application will be approved is on average even 95 percent.

The documents for the application for a Schengen visa must be submitted in Dutch, English, French or Spanish (or translated into one of these languages).
When applying for a Schengen visa, keep the following in mind:
- During it visa application process you will not have your passport in your possession.
- An application without the complete set of documents may lead to a rejection of your visa application.
- Competent authorities may request additional supporting documents.
- In case of a rejection, the paid visa amount (fees) will not be reimbursed.
