Proof of sufficient financial means for a stay in the Netherlands
When a foreign traveler applies for a visa for the Netherlands, he or she must be able to demonstrate that he or she can afford the travel and accommodation costs. For example, the visa applicant must prove that he or she can spend € 55 per day (per person).
For example, when the visa applicant applies for a 45-day visa, an amount of € 2.475 must be available (45 x € 55). The documentary evidence that demonstrates that you have sufficient financial means for the stay in the Netherlands, the transit and/or the return journey, may consist of, for example:
- One or more bank statements
- Traveller's checks
- Cash
- Credit cards
- Prepaid housing
- Prepaid transportation
- Other (specify)
This question returns to point 33 on the visa application form.
Financial guarantee
If the visa applicant himself does not have sufficient financial resources, someone in the Netherlands can guarantee. This can be done by means of an original form Proof of guarantee and/or private accommodation. This must be signed by the guarantor, who must have his signature legalized at the municipality.
The guarantor must prove that he sufficient and sustainable income has. He encloses a copy of the employment contract, the last 3 payslips, an employer's statement and a copy of his passport with this form.
Is the guarantor married? Then the sponsor's partner must also sign the form. Are the sponsor and the guarantor not one and the same person? Then both must each fill in and sign a separate form. The form can only be used by one person at a time.
