Private accommodation for a foreign guest
The private accommodation provider is the person with whom the visa applicant will stay in the Netherlands on the basis of a short stay visa. This person is also referred to as a referent or inviter.
The accommodation provider must complete and sign the form 'proof of guarantee and/or private accommodation'. He must then have the signature on the form legalized at the municipality. He must also bring his passport or identity card to the municipality. The form must then be sent to the visa applicant. He shows this form at the embassy or consulate where the Schengen visa is applied for.
