Travelers from the UK remain obliged to submit a negative PCR test. They are also urgently advised to go into quarantine upon arrival in the Netherlands.
The flight ban from other countries remains in force.
Countries with a no-fly zone
A flight ban applies to the following countries until April 1, 2020:
- South Africa.
The no-fly zone also applies to the following countries in Central and South America:
- Argentina;
- Bolivian;
- Brazil;
- Chili;
- Colombia;
- Dominican Republic;
- Ecuador;
- French Guyana;
- Guyana;
- Panama;
- Paraguayan;
- Peru;
- Surinam;
- Uruguay;
- Venezuela.
The flight ban was imposed by the Dutch government because of the highly contagious variants of the COVID-19 virus that occur in these countries. The flight ban is there to prevent these variants from spreading further in the Netherlands.
