Guarantee your foreign partner
You can act as guarantor for a partner requiring a visa who wants to come to the Netherlands for a maximum of 90 days in a period of 180 days. You must earn at least the minimum wage.
Unmarried foreign partners are allowed to return to the Netherlands
As of today, foreign partners who have a relationship with a Dutch national may return to our country for a consecutive period of up to 90 days. The entry ban imposed in connection with corona no longer applies to this group.
The Netherlands relaxes the entry ban for foreign partners
From 27 July, foreign partners or lovers (not married or no cohabitation contract) may travel to the Netherlands again under certain conditions.
Do I need a visa when I go abroad?
As a Dutch citizen you do not need a visa for countries within the European Union, the Schengen area or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. You may need a visa for other countries.
