Croatia is the 27th country to join the Schengen area. Bulgaria and Romania, on the other hand, are not admitted to the Schengen zone. EU interior and justice ministers met yesterday to vote on the first extension of Schengen in more than a decade.
Residents of Kosovo will be able to enter Schengen countries visa-free from 2024
From 1 January 2024, Kosovars will no longer need a Schengen visa to travel to the European Union. The EU countries and the European Commission agree on this. Only the European Parliament still has to agree, but that will not be a problem.

'EU wants to open borders for countries outside Europe from 1 July'
From 1 July, the European Commission wants to start opening borders to countries outside the EU in a controlled manner. The European Council, in which the member states are represented, must draw up a list of countries from which travelers can travel to the EU from that moment on.
