Foreign visitors who require a visa can enter the Netherlands
The Netherlands is gradually reopening to foreign visitors who want to travel to our country with a Schengen visa. That is good news for Dutch people with, for example, a foreign partner or family abroad.
Long-distance lovers are allowed to return to the Netherlands as of March 16
On March 8, the cabinet announced that the entry ban for the Netherlands will be adjusted as of March 16, 2021. For example, Dutch people who have a relationship with a person from outside the EU may receive their foreign partner again for a short stay of a maximum of 90 days.
Long-distance relationship and traveling to the Netherlands
From 27 July 2020, foreign partners from a country with an entry ban may travel to the Netherlands under certain conditions. The foreign partner may stay in the Netherlands for a maximum of 90 days within a period of 180 days.
Bringing partner to the Netherlands
